1996) . The
absence of a report the discovery of compounds that can suppress
locomotor activity or also called hipnotiksedatif derived from aromatic
plants from Indonesia is a strong reason for doing this research . Aromatic
plants in this study used a series is basil ( Ocimum basilicum L. ) ,
eucalyptus ( Melaleuca Leucadendron L. ) , nutmeg ( Myristica fragrans
Hout ) , flower ylang ( Cananga odoratum ) , laja Gowah rhizome (
Alpinia malaccensis Roxb . ) , ki lemo bark ( Litcea cubeba L ) and kitchen lemongrass ( Cymbopogon citratus ) .
